Proud Supplier to Expo 2020 Dubai
We were honored to have the opportunity to contribute to the Swedish Pavilion at the World Expo in Dubai! Working closely with the project management team, we developed all materials to meet the architectural plans, while also considering the challenging climate conditions and fire safety requirements.
For the exterior, we used spruce cladding panels painted in dark, slightly yellowish green. A geometric-patterned screen, also made of spruce, was mounted with spacing in front of the façade. Inside, we supplied cross-laminated timber (CLT) in spruce.
“The Swedish pavilion, called The Forest, was a spectacular structure combining wood and glass in a fascinating way. This innovative design created a forest-like atmosphere symbolizing Sweden’s deep connection to nature and its sustainability values. The Swedish pavilion covered an area of 3,000 square meters and was designed by the Swedish architectural firm Alessandro Ripellino Arkitekter, Studio Adrien Gardère, and Luigi Pardo Architetti.”
