Thermowood pine for Ormerudveien 8–16
The housing project at Ormerudveien 8–16 is a neighbourhood set within green surroundings and featuring a modern expression. Fire-impregnated Thermowood in a natural colour was supplied for the exterior cladding, giving the façades a timeless and organic character.
The Thermowood treatment makes the timber more dimensionally stable and resistant to moisture, contributing to a long lifespan and minimal maintenance requirements. The natural colour allows the wood’s own texture and tonal variation to come through, while the material ages beautifully and naturally over time. Together with the green surroundings, the façades create a harmonious whole in which architecture and nature go hand in hand, giving Ormerudveien 8–16 a warm and inviting character for its residents.
